The Return of Buffalo Bill: It’s a world of its own, but it’s our own

From 4 to 6 September 2026, Borgo San Giuliano will once again come alive with the 23rd Festa de Borg, the eagerly awaited biennial event that transforms the streets of Rimini’s historic neighbourhood into an open-air stage.

Not just a festival, but an event that brings together entertainment, culture, traditions and gastronomy. Each edition revolves around an original theme that inspires stage designs, installations, artistic performances and travelling shows, whilst food stalls offering traditional Romagna specialities and major shows in the Piazza sull’Acqua, at the foot of the Tiberius Bridge, round off the programme.

The theme for 2026, “The Return of Buffalo Bill: ‘It’s the world, but it’s our home’”, draws inspiration from the historic visit of the famous Buffalo Bill to Rimini on 11 April 1906 with his legendary Wild West Show. This episode serves as the starting point for telling the story of the journey, the meeting of cultures and the dialogue with the world, without ever losing touch with the authentic identity of Borgo San Giuliano.

In the run-up to the festival, from 29 July to 26 August, five events will lead the public towards the festival days, building anticipation and engagement ahead of the big event in September.
